How Smug Were You?

Now, I don't know about y'all.

Yeah, I do say y'all.

I have lived in Virginia now for 16 freaking years. It's crazy when I think about my Jersey roots and being transplanted south of the Mason Dixon line now for 16 freaking years.

It's probably weird to hear an Indian girl from New Jersey saying y'all. It's totally weird, I can respect that.

So I don't know about y'all, but tonight, I would like you to ponder this little gem. I was told by a friend that although I said pregnancy was an extremely, extremely humbling experience (because there is no better time to get your waddle on), he said to me, "Oh, you're just being smug."

And I thought to myself, "I'll show you f%$%ing smug, you pompous prick."

But then he sent me this link and I realized he was just making a joke.

Oops. Sorry Dave.

I wasn't sure whether to be horrified, pee myself or call these bitches out for being horribly rude.

In the end I just laughed. I think you might too :-)

That's great. I wouldn't have gotten the reference and would have been mad too.
And there is nothing wrong with y'all. So says this live long Tennessee gal.

Pregnant women are totally smug...with their elastic waist bands and bra extenders. That has "smug" written all over it.

And by the way, I very nearly mounted a guy in England...he was black with a British accent. This was before my knowledge of Don Cheadle so it was like running into a unicorn on the tube.

I want to be friends with them. :)

It's ok. I say ya'll too.

And OMG are you really going to Bloggy Boot Camp? Because I just might be. I feel like I don't have much of an excuse when it's happening right down the street from my house.

They are a you tube sensation! (but when I was preggers I did not enjoy this kind of humour lol)

I saw this a few months ago and laughed my you-know-what off. You want to know why?
BECAUSE IT'S TOTALLY TRUE.
(And yes, I was guilty of being smug.)

TOTALLY rude and TOTALLY funny. I'm a big fan of inappropriate stuff so this works for me. And it's a little true. Even if they are bitches!!

It's fucking hilarious! A friend sent me this after another friend (who turned into Mumzilla and has become somewhat a know it all recluse) told me I could never lead a fulfilled life without having a child and that life was pointless if you weren't procreating. After I stopped crying from her evil bitch words, I pissed myself laughing at these hilarious bitches!

This was heeelarious. I wasn't smug in my bloated complaininess, and you know how pregnancy makes you all the more short-tempered? I totally wanted to smack people who were.

That is really funny. And, you know, there is this thing . . . pregnant brain. Really, it is all we think about when we're pregnant. Cute post!

That clip is DA BOMB!

p.s. I was born & raised in New Orleans and said "ya'll" quite often...until my husband kidnapped me and made me move to his native Kansas City 5 years ago. I still say it sometimes, but definitely not as often, and it doesn't come out as easily as it used to. Sad!!!
