Half Priced Booger Special

Overheard on a raging road trip to New Jersey.

Me (Concerned but Frazzled about to go Postal Mom): "Shaila, honey. Can you please stop picking your nose? We can use a tissue to get what you need out, " trying to reason with my 2 1/2 year old.

Shaila (Not concerned and fully committed to driving Mommy crazy.) "No, Mommy." She is completely exasperated with me as if to say - "Listen Lady, we've been through this before. WORK with me HERE!"

Me: "But why Honey? Why must you pick your nose?"

Shaila: "Mommy!!! " She holds up her hands to prove her point. "I have many, MANY burgers in there and I need to do this."

So my daughter has booger burgers that are in need of attention. Apparently, she has many, MANY of them. She likes ketchup so I wouldn't put it past her to try the pairing.

I love her, but she is my little nutter. And we are going to have to try to kick this burger (booger) excavation practice sooner rather than later.

Happy NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!
Kiran

A burger! That's fabulous!! Would you believe my husband is deathly afraid of boogers (we call them mocos). He can clean poop, vomit, pee with the best of them but a nose hermit arrives and he is out.

Nose creatures...... as long as she doesn't eat them, I suppose they do need to come out....

Too cute, Kiran!

We had a jr. excavator (and eater!)here which was crazy since he wouldn't even eat chicken nuggets. Sheesh!

Isn't it just fabulous when they start picking their noses? My son is 2.5 too and I hate seeing his little finger up there! If you find a trick to keep it out, do share! :)

BUT! She likes a clean nose. I admire such determination when it comes to key parts of one's respiratory system.

Came by to wish you a Happy New Year, and warm wishes.

At least she doesn't run around with boogers just hanging out of her nose. And refusing to let you do anything about it. Not that I know from experience.
