And so, I think it's time to make this "confession time."
My TV watching taste has gone to hell the past few years.
I didn't used to be like this! I really didn't watch TV at all.
But THAT was BEFORE I discovered what a DVR was.
And now? Well now, my world has changed.
Some might say, for the worse. But I see it as, I am just looking at life from a different lens. And granted, not one I am behind, but whatever. I pay the cable bills, right?
I don't know when it happened. But before I knew it, my DVR recorded list was a cacophany of reality shows that I would have scoffed at in a previous life.
You know. When I was cool.
But now? Housewives of NY cannot be missed. And did you see what that ho-bag did on Housewives of NJ? Uggh. It's so toxic that of course, I have to see what happens next.
And it doesn't stop there. I "know somebody" - you know "a friend" - who watches "The City" and "The Hills" on MTV. Which is really bad because you know that there is not even one iota of "reality" in any of it it. But gosh I lurve the clothes ("The City") and gawking at the bad plastic surgery ("The Hills").
So here is my question to you . . .
What are your television confessions? Tell me the truth. Don't be all like "Oh, my vice is that I watch CNN too much, ha ha ha!" because I won't buy it.
Because apparently I have a really firm grip on reality.
Now if you'll excuse me, Bethany is Getting Married.
XOXO,
Kiran

I am totally on the same page as you - I love crap TV. Just love it. Can't watch Housewives anymore, since we "thinned" our satellite package, but man, did I love that! And TLC. It's great, mind-numbing TV. And the DVR is THE. BEST.
Enjoy Bethany's wedding and know that I'm jealous that you're watching and I'm not.
my favorites are:
americas next top model
the apprentice
are you smarter than a 5th grader
the office.
i used to tape the shows on my vcr, but comcast upgraded everyone to digital and gave me a free digital box. that's fine, but now i don't know how to timer record anymore...
I first want to proudly say that I don't watch any of the Housewives shows.
Though I really feel like I should.
I loved Jersey Shore. And Rock of Love and all of that really, really trashy cheese.
DVR was the death of me and I have half the brain cells today than did 7 years ago.
Isn't DVR the best/worst invention in the world?
I wish I had it...
I watch The Bachelor AND The Bachelorette. That's probably the most embarrassing thing I watch. And LOVE.
I will also watch CSI for 5 straight hours, despite the fact that I've seen all the Las Vegas episodes.
I hope your Housewives give you what you need!
I love the Real Housewife shows. Ny and NJ being my faves. The DVR has "ruined" my life too. Great to be able to watch when I want to
I do admit to watching the Bachelorette... aaaaaaaaand Big Brother is coming up. Don't feel too bad.
oh i love me some hills. as well as the Vh1 shows (tough love, rock of love, rehab with dr. drew).
also, ghosthunters. every wednesday.
i haven't gotten into any of the housewives shows yet though...
The Bachelor(ette). I was so against it, but was forced to be in the same room while it was on once, paid attention, and got hooked. The nice looking guys are a bonus though. I've always loved Big Brother, and enjoyed me some Jon and Kate drama back in the day.
oh yeah I love me some trash TV
I let it serve as a reminder to myself to NEVER act the way a 'real housewife' would, the only drama I want in my life is on TV
Just yesterday I saw a new show on VH1 called "you're cut off" or something like that... looks good with all sorts of entertaining ridiculousness
I feel so old school - Days of our Lives for me!
Well, let's see. I dvr Glee faithfully. I am a Gleek. I also love Modern Family. They are guilty pleasures.
Apparently I'm addicted to the Girls Next Door!! I love watching the actual show & then I love Kendra & I'm super pumped about Holly's World starting tomorrow! As a woman who has never even seen a Playboy magazine, I think it's funny that I absolutely cannot miss an episode. haha I love it!
I woke up at 7am on Saturday to watch my DVR'd Bethenny free of judgement from B.
HOW GOOD WAS IT?!? God, I love her.
I'm totally addicted to the Housewives (all seasons) and pretty much everything "reality tv".
I admit it proudly.
I'll also say that I'm bummed the NY season is over. They are so entertaining!
Confession:
I used to watch Real World and The Hills.
Then suddenly, work took over my life and my trashy TV watching days went straight to hell. I'm trying to get back to enjoying the "reality" shows though. I think I need to pick up on the Housewives. Everyone else seems obsessed!
