I have always been a believer in the power of therapy and trying to work through your issues by examining your behaviors and the patterns we all find ourselves falling in. I know that some people feel that there is a stigma associated to seeking therapy - I am not one of them.
In a way, this blog has been a form of therapy for me. It has allowed me to acknowledge parts of my past that I am not necessarily proud of - but are an integral part of me. It has also helped me recall things that I didn't realize I even remembered.
So, I guess my point is, if you are really feeling against the whole "therapy" thing and need to get it out there - my advice to you is - start a blog.
It doesn't have to be public. It can be just for you.
So just write. Even if you don't think you CAN write.
Because you HAVE lived. And your thoughts and memories are worth more than you know.
And then, of course, if you DON'T want to blog - you can always go see a therapist. Just don't go to my old one, because she was a real piece of work.
